One-day Autumn Writing Retreat: London, Saturday 24^th October 2026

NARRATIVE VOICE & POINT OF VIEW

Join us for this one-day retreat in London. We’ll spend the morning together in search of our narrative voices through close reading of varied texts, discussion, and exploratory writing. In the afternoon, the focus will shift to point of view where we’ll ask questions like: who’s telling this story anyway? Are we looking through our characters or at them? What do you think about the vernacular? What happens when we tell a story through multiple points of view?

This retreat is suitable for those with some previous experience of writing

Meet: 10am – 5pm (with a one-hour lunch break)

Note: When you join a Hope & Anchor retreat, you will always be hosted by at least two of us, but usually all three. Peggy, Sarah and Joanna come to writing with a broad range of knowledge, taste and experience; this is one of the things that makes Hope & Anchor truly special.
